‘Friends with Benefits’ Movie with Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake might seem on performing hiatus right now. Notice that he doesn’t have any recent music vids yet promoting a new album? Maybe it’s because he’s keeping his busy career tied to the movie studios.

The pop superstar has indeed been more productive throughout the past year until the present. He has signed into films, having more screen time than mere cameos in movies such as Alpha Dog, The Love Guru, and Black Snake Moan. Timberlake was cast in the role of Napster founder Sean Parker in David Fincher’s exceedingly anticipated The Social Network and is presently shooting the comedy Bad Teacher with ex-girlfriend Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel. Now, it appears like the Grammy-winner performer will straight away sign into yet one more motion picture.

Director Will Gluck has previously awed Screen Gems with his new-fangled farce Easy A which stars starring Amanda Bynes, Emma Stone, Cam Gigandet, Patricia Clarkson, Lisa Kudrow, Thomas Haden Church and Stanley Tucci. Sony Pictures is actually so captivated that they’ve hired him to head their latest romantic comedy Friends With Benefits. It has been reported that Timberlake will be fished out from a slew of possible actors and is the ideal guy to be on board for the film as one of its three lead characters.

Purportedly, Friends With Benefits is a tale about a headhunter who employs a magazine editor and both becoming casual sex partners. With no strings attached of course, such is the aptly-named movie title. Now, both characters are too busy to date but things went awry as Timberlake’s character falls for the lady who is really dating someone else. Gluck is projected to do a redraft of Keith Merryman and David Newman’s original script.

There’s no word yet on when Friends With Benefits will essentially commence production, but it will not happen until the later part of the year, preferably this fall.
