“Harry Potter” heightens the excitement for their upcoming film as the ABC Family broadcasted last weekend official footage from “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I”. Aside from the release of the clip, ABC also featured previous installments “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”, “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”, and “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”. Now the famed and talked-about clip has made its way across several websites to entice fans across the world.
The opening sequence features producer David Heyman and director David Yates in a feeling of nostalgia and utter delight that they were able to reach the last book of the series. Viewers are also provided quick shots of behind the scenes with Daniel Radcliffe having his makeup retouched and sharing a high-five in the woods with co-star Emma Watson.
The second half of the video follows the same format as a traditional trailer beginning with Harry asking is a hushed tone, “What do you know about the Deathly Hallows?” One of the most striking lines of the trailer is a hint to the entire flow of the movie, “To possess them all, is to make oneself immortal.” Then a succession of clips featuring several characters and striking scenes from the movie are flashed from running in the woods, Hermione and Ron dancing on a lit room, the trio walking downtown, and many more.
Viewers are also provided the familiar visuals courtesy of Yates who also directed the previous “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” and “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”. Part I of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” would be released on November 2010 with Part II following on summer of 2011.
