Lindsay Lohan Goes to JAIL!

A tearful and severely depressed Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to serve 90 days in jail for violating the terms of her probation in a drunken driving case.

Beverly Hills Judge Marsha Revel orders the 24-year-old actress to begin serving time in an L.A. county jail in line with her sentence on July 20. The order was issued after she received an arrest warrant on June 8 for violating her probation. Apparently, Lohan had failed to complete her court-ordered alcohol education classes from a 2007 drunk driving incident. She even missed her last court appearance in May when she opted to attend the Cannes Film Festival in France instead.

Reports say that Lohan reasoned out with the judge saying, “I have to provide for myself. I have to work. Having said that, I did everything to balance my jobs and showing up. I’m not taking this as a joke. It’s my life. It’s my career.” However, the judge wasn’t moved by her pleas. Instead, Lohan received scolding for being less than truthful about her alcohol and drug intake before passing sentence.

At present, it remains a mystery how Lohan’s current work would be affected by her jail time. Recently she had just been cast opposite Bill Pullman in the independent biopic about Linda Lovelace, “Lovelace”, as well as being rumored to star in ‘Black Friday 3D‘.
