Twi-hards! Get a quick run through of the much awaited “Eclipse” movie through Muse’s latest music video. Myspace just launched the British rock trio’s video for their track “Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)”. As the lead single in the third installment’s soundtrack, the music video features several unseen footage from the film. Without a doubt, it’s as dramatic, heart-warming, and emotional as the song itself.
The lyric “Our love will be forever” repeats over and over again through the stanzas. For the current subject matter, this seems entirely fitting as it summarizes the entire third book in one sentence.
The video begins with frontman Matt Bellamy playing out the song’s melody on a grand piano positioned on the center of a dark, wide stage. As the music picks up tempo, he switches to his guitar to rock it out with drummer Dominic Howard and bassist Christopher Wolstenholme amidst a background of changing colors and scenes. Their backdrop converts at times into two huge screens where footage from “Eclipse” is shown. The scenes include footage of sweet moments shared between Bella and Edward, the heightening rivalry between Jacob and Edward, the wolf pack both in their human and wolf forms, Bryce Dallas Howard looking menacing as the new Victoria, and the Volturi led by Dakota Fanning who’s no doubt striking as Jane. There are a few battle scenes seen here and there. Both Team Jacob and Team Edward fans won’t be left disappointed for there’s an equal share of scenes on the two hunks with their love interest Bella. Lastly, the famed meadow scene was never forgotten. The movie closes up with a sweet cuddle and lip-lock between Bella and Edward.
For a romantic movie franchise, “Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)” fits the emotions embodied in the film perfectly. Bellamy shares that the song is mostly about “looking right back on that moment that you first get with someone and everything feels like its going to go on forever. [It has a] kind of like a cheesy love sentiment.”
The soundtrack also features tracks from artists such as Beck and Bat for Lashes with a duet, Metric, the Dead Weather, Florence & the Machine, Vampire Weekend, and Band of Horses.
