Sam Worthington Heads to Australia

Sam Worthington, the very popular Avatar star, is going to Australia from where he hails. He is set to play the role of a photographer and journalist in an upcoming movie entitled Drift. This is an $11 million film that is basically a surfing drama that is set in Margaret River, Australia. This is a known hot spot for surfers from all over the world.

According to other film news authorities like TheWrap, this movie got its inspiration based on a true story and it carries the goal of how surfing evolved as just a personal past time or hobby of anyone into something that has took its own place in the worldwide sports industry.

Good thing, Worthington sees himself and has been a lifelong surfer and he is really very eager to return back to West Australia. He says in one interview that he is really looking forward to visit his home town and really give something back to them out of all the success that he has been getting lately with his acting career.

The film production is set to start on the next autumn season of Australia which is the spring season on America. This is for the reason that the entire production team wants to really take advantage of the waves and the skies that are free from the unexpected moods. This would also be perfect in time and in line with the coming Margaret River Pro Surfing Event.
Surely, fans of Worthington are as looking as he is to the film.
