Two of the biggest stars in Hollywood, Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep, that proved their sportsmanship and chemistry by having an onscreen kiss when they tied for Best Actress Award on the 2010 Critics’ Choice Award. Now, the two will be together in the next film of writer and director Michael Patrick King of the uber-successful “Sex and the City” films. If this is not enough, the two stars will be co-starred by none other than Oprah Winfrey.
The film is still in premature stages and still has a working title. What we know is that it will be a comedy about home shopping and the characters must deal with their marriage, marketing and the media. This is from Universal Pictures’ statement. King, on the other hand, is an expert of comedy films involving hot and glamorous women after pulling through the “Sex and the City” franchise.
The two actresses both have their comedy chops as they both have won Academy Awards and are both in the high points of their careers. This is probably a dream come true for comedy flick. Moreover, Winfrey has not been seen in the big screen since her 1998’s “Beloved.” Letting her star in this project seems a wise move to reintroduce her to the audience now that her popular talk show is in its final season. King seems to be the wild card in the group. Are three big stars too much for him?
