Sandra Bullock WILL be at the MTV Movie Awards

Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock would be present to accept the MTV Generation Award on this year’s MTV Movie Awards. This is the event’s highest honor which will be granted to the 45-year-old actress.

Her attendance would mark her first public appearance since news came out that her husband Jesse James was cheating on her. Almost two weeks before the night of the Oscars, reports came out about James’ affair with model Michelle “Bombshell” McGee. Immediately Bullock filed for a divorce in April, the same month she decided to adopt a 3 ½ month old baby boy named Louis. Despite all the drama, Bullock is more than welcome to take her achievement home. Apparently, she’s the first ever female recipient of the award.

MTV General Manager Stephen Friedman shares the reason why Sandra Bullock is chosen as this year’s recipient. The actress is described to be “adored by our audience as both an actress and a role model. Recognizing her remarkable talent, amazing range of films and her visceral connection to our audience around the globe, we are honored to present her with our MTV Generation Award.”

This honor is an addition to her recently acquired hardware including wins from the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards, the Razzies, and the Academy Awards.

Hosting the event is Aziz Ansari to be broadcasted live from the Gibson Amphitheatre. Some of the renowned presenters include Adam Sandler, Tom Cruise, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Chris Rock, Steve Carell, and Cameron Diaz.

The 2010 MTV Movie Awards would air on Sunday, June 6 at 9 PM ET.
