Marshall Mathers better known as Eminem is set to hit the big screen again after starring in a quasi-autobiographical film “8 Mile” seven years ago. Playing as ‘B-Rabbit’ Smith, an altered version of himself growing up in Detroit in “8 Mile”, Eminem shocked many with his strong and convincing take on the role.
For 2009, his star will be rising again as he is set to both star in multiple roles and produce “Shady Talez”, a 3D horror film. Penned by “Underworld” creator Kevin Grevioux and writer / producer Dallas Jackson, the movie’s style is described to be a cross between “The Twilight Zone” and “Creepshow”. Taking over direction is veteran actor / director Robert Townsend under the newly formed D.J. Classicz/Davis Entertainment label. Child star Bobb’e J Thompson (“Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs”) will star alongside Eminem in the film.
In 2010, Marvel will be publishing a four-issue comic book series based on “Shady Talez” in collaboration with efforts from Jackson and Grevioux.
Jackson will be overlooking a busy 2010 year as he is working on a remake of the 1985 cult classic “The Last Dragon” alongside Samuel Jackson. Currently he is also writing “The Little Homiez”, coined as a cross between “Home Alone” and “The Rugrats”.
