Are you one of those fans excited to know about the updates for ‘Star Trek 2?’ Well the news is that you would have to hold up all the waiting for another year. The sequel of this popular sci-fi was supposedly set for a June 29, 2012 release. But it was bumped back to the May 17, 2013 where it will take the spot that was left by ‘Singularity’ made by Roland Emmerich. This one was moved instead on November of 2013.
The whole cast will return for the said sequel which will be done in 3D. J.J. Abrams who is the co-writer of the follow up to the 2009 reboot has been too preoccupied with the recent ‘Super 8’ to have supposedly hit the deadline that was set originally. By now, the slot of June 2012 was given to the ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation.’
It became part of the flexible deals of the cast to wait for Abrams to finish along with his team of writers before they can begin with work again. The second go-round of the crew includes Chris Pine and Zoe Saldana amongst others.
Everyone of course is aiming for another hit. The revamped version earned around $258 million in North America alone.
