The Great Gals On Film for 2011

To find great women in the film industry can be quite tough but with enough given patience, you can be sure to stumble upon them, especially this brand new year of 2011. This year definitely has more hope instilled in the air compared to 2010.

The year starts with a lot of female supporting roles just like Cameron Diaz for the secretary of the superhero in ‘The Green Hornet’. We also have the very sexy Natalie Portman as she stars with Kutcher in ‘No Strings Attached’. There would also be Jennifer Aniston for another romantic comedy film and along with the mark of the return of Halle Berry  for ‘Frankie and Alice’ which tells the story of a woman who suffers from multiple personalities.

Mia Wasikowska stars in the Charlotte Bronte classic ‘Jane Eyre’ along with the film ‘Sucker Punch’ arriving with a female lead by the name of Julian Schnabel. ‘Take Me Home Tonight’ stars Anna Faris as the redhead on the poster they have recently released. There would be more of Natalie Portman by April which would be filled with utmost girl power. Bethany Hamilton will be seen in the ‘Soul Surfer’ as a one armed girl surfer.

By June, the female bang continues through the summer season of 2011 with Elle Fanning starring for ‘Super 8’ and Cameron Diaz once again for ‘Bad Teacher’. There are also a lot of female directors who will be showing up their prowess from January to mid June. Is there anything else we may have missed?
