One of the great things about JK Rowling’s masterpiece, “Harry Potter,” is it garnered the various real world myths and legends, especially when it comes to the different creatures and monsters that are living in the magical world. Eventually, the Harry Potter series taught a lot of children about hippogriffs, grindylows and basilisks that are all anchored on the different myths and legends around the world.
This is one of the fascinating aspects of the series that instead of creating new fictional creatures, Rowling pulled the creatures from the world’s legends and mythology and infuse it in Harry’s world making it not more different than our own. Now, we could think that all of the magical creatures could be true as well as Hogwarts and witches and wizards and that some magical power hides them from our (muggles’) eyes.
Because of the immense popularity of the book and the release of the first part of the film’s epic finale, fans are on all fours and show their fanaticism in this cult-like sensation. A few days ago, it was reported that there will be an upcoming Quidditch World Cup in New York City.
Recently, a Death Eater tried to take over the Grand Central Station. Yes, some fans have the courage to show their fandom and creativity by holding such stunt. The mere fact that they are having so much fun makes their bizarre acts justifiable. Harry Potter invokes a lot of creativity and imagination and sealed it in an epic series. Catch “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1” in theaters on November 19.
