The government regulation is not what Wall Street should just plainly worry about. Noble Jones, the writer, has been hired to do an adaptation of the ‘American Psycho’ novel written by Brest Easton Ellis.
It was first brought to life in a movie made way back in 1998 that starred Christian Bale being Patrick Bateman – the character of a wealth banker who hides as a serial killer. With all the anti-Wall Street thing going on right now, a film to be made about killing a one-percenter can truly bring a lot of sense. The entire story is set during the boom of the 1980s Wall Street and hence you can expect Jones to play the culture to the excessive maximum.
Whoever will play the role of Bateman this time around will surely have a lot to fill in especially with Bale’s performance in the original version as amazing. We just hope that the director will also keep all the news and Huey Lewis references.
