Are you a crazy fan of the ‘Bourne’ films? Then you must be glad to know that Jason Bourne lives! It was heard from Deadline that Tony Gilroy, the Oscar nominated writer/director is set to lead the chapter four of the Jason Bourne series of movies. It will have a tentative title of ‘The Bourne Legacy’ which will also mark the first of Gilroy in the films of ‘Bourne’. Like everyone else in the industry, he is pretty much familiar already with the movie franchise since he has written the first three movies of it.
The decision to finally put him the in director seat is such a tricky move for the entire production. However, it was heard too that Matt Damon will not return for the fourth movie if it will not be directed still by Paul Greengrass who also handled ‘The Bourne Supremacy’ and the ‘Bourne Ultimatum’ which was an Oscar winner, respectively in 2004 and 2007. However, Universal seems to be ready and prepared already to move on with the fourth in the series, regardless if it is going to be with or without Damon.
Stay tuned with us as we wait for more details and news on the plot of the upcoming ‘Bourne’ film. There are yet to be announced including the release date of the film. So what do you think? Would tony Gilroy be the right man for the directorial job of the ‘Bourne 4’? Should Matt Damon still be the lead role in the next film?
