Love and romance would be sailing past the month of love as New Line announces its plans to helm a sequel for the recently opened “Valentine’s Day”. Currently, the studio is already beginning initial work on the next installment to the latest ensemble comedy of A-list stars. The upcoming feature would be set on New Year’s Eve with original director Garry Marshall, producers Mike Karz and Wayne Rice, and screenwriter Katherine Fugate expected to return. Reports confirm that filming would begin later this year to make it for a scheduled late 2011 release.

At present, audience has yet to see the star-studded “Valentine’s Day” as it hits theaters on Friday. The remarkable ensemble includes Jessica Alba, Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway, Patrick Dempsey, Jessical Biel, Hector Elizondo, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace, Ashton Kutcher, Taylor Lautner, George Lopez, Queen Latifah, Julia Roberts, and Emma Roberts. Though the cast is astonishingly huge, there’s still no word yet who among them would be returning to help create the upcoming sequel.
