If we would base it according to the reactions of many who watched both the Emmys and the Oscars this year, many say that the Emmys was far better. Even a television critic from AOL said that the broadcast was able to give all the recognition to people who truly deserved it and Jane Lynch was a very interesting host. Lynch did good as she was very game with her hosting stint even if she was not given enough and proper material to handle. The best joke she ever delivered during the night was when she introduced the cast of the ‘Entourage’. Besides, even if she just stood there for the entire night, she would still do better than Hathaway and Franco for the Oscars.
When it comes to the pre-produced bits of the Emmys, you would surely find it way too long than what was done in the Oscars. It featured all the stars from your favorite television series but it lasted as if it took forever. During the opener of the Oscars, it was the highest point of Hathaway and Franco. When it comes to the announcement of winners, the Emmys was far more filled with surprised that it made the entire event still suspenseful even if there were television series that everyone assumes already as winners like ‘Modern Family’ and even ‘Mad Men’. Unsuspected winners of the night belonged to the cast and production of ‘Friday Night Lights’ which include Kyle Chandler.
With the pacing of the show, the Emmys takes the advantage. Even if there were very lengthy bits, it still ended up prompt at three hours. As with the 2011 Oscars, it was way too long that everyone suggests this should be taken good note of by next year’s Oscars. The Oscars take the win when it comes to the in memoriam segments. There was Celine Dion who sang the tribute song to the deceased member of the Hollywood clan while the Canadian Tenors were the ones who did the tribute at the Emmys.
So overall, it can be considered a tight competition, but it is the Emmys which we think too was way better than the Oscars. Our deepest congratulations to all those who participated and who emerged as winners of the night!
