Who Could Be The Next Actor To Play The ‘Superman’ Role?

With another possibility of a ‘Superman’ reboot to soon come our way, it is about time to start thinking about which actors to play the Man of Steel role again. It could be hard though to look way past Brandon Routh who portrayed the ideals of Christopher Reeve so well in the past film.

As casting rumors started building up, it was Joe Manganiello who started being on top of the list. He may not be a big name yet in the Hollywood circles but he has already experienced doing some superhero task with the previous ‘SpiderMan’ franchise playing the role of Flash Roberts. He is also presently Alcide Herveaux in ‘True Blood.’

But he clarified the news in Twitter saying these exact words: ‘Just to be clear… as of today, I am not ‘negotiating’ to play Superman.’ He continues with this statement: ‘…but keep your fingers crossed and thanks for the wishful thinking.’ But everyone was asking why he placed quotation marks in the word ‘negotiating’. Could this mean he was telling us about some stage of the process along the way?

If Manganiello gets to play the role, there are also other wrestling superstars who are rumored to be eyed for the role. There’s John Cena and even The Rock. This is really more unexpected, though the two are already comfortable with playing great performing stunts in action films. And besides, Cena’s chiseled jaw can really pass for the beefy built of Superman. So what do you think? Who should play the next ‘Superman’ role?
