Zac Efron stars in ‘The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman’; Fred Durst and Paul Walker works together
- Former ‘High School Musical’ star Zac Efron will star in “The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman,” which is about a Yank who will fall in love to the girlfriend of a European crime lord. Efron will replace Shia LeBouf in the project.
- Magnolia Pictures is shopping and handpicking films at the Berlin Film Festival. Their latest selection is the Norwegian thriller about an art thief entitled, “Headhunters.”
- Fred Durst includes Paul Walker in his latest project and directorial effort entitled, “Pawn Shop Chronicles.” One of its producers described the film as “a a hillbilly ‘Pulp Fiction.’”
- According to B-D, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, director of “28 Weeks Later,” is in negotiation with Relativity Media about directing the remake of “The Crow.”
