At first, you would perceive this documentary as something that would just present scientific and statistical facts to feature the growing power of China in the world of economics. But instead, you would realize further on that it is really an intimate perception of how their expanding economy brought change to the ever growing population of China. The film portrays the dynamism of a very poor Chinese family and their yearly, literal torment. It was displayed by the film in large scale chaos and the turmoil brought between the members of each family.
This film is highly recommended and can even be considered as one of the best entries in Mexico’s Ambulante documentaries festival for 2010. The narrative was very heartfelt and you would be impressed with its high quality photography and editing work.
‘The Last Train Home’ would surely hit you straight from the heart as you learn more about the lives of striving factory workers and the families and children that wait for them eagerly and patiently back home.
