I absolutely loved this movie! I loved the comedy, the storyline, theaction, the effects, everything! This may be my 3rd favorite movie of2009 behind Friday the 13th and Land of the Lost! I've seen a lot ofnegative reviews toward this movie, but some people take things alittle too seriously. This movie is for the kid in all of us. While onsummer vacation, the Pearson family go to three-story holiday house inthe middle of nowhere. The kids; Hannah, Tom, and Bethany don't wannago, but they are forced to. They meet more family members like Jake,Art, and Lee. When Bethany's boyfriend forces Tom to the roof, they seethe aliens who want to take over the world. Throughout the day, thekids try to stop them, without their parents finding out. One alien,Sparks is not a threat to the humans and decides to become friends withHannah. Sparks is a cute little alien, unlike Skip, Tazer, and Razor. Will the Pearson children stop the evil aliens from taking over theworld? I highly recommend ALIENS IN THE ATTIC!!!

After seeing the previews, I wasn't expecting the movie to be anythingother than cheesy. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I think thatthe young actors had great chemistry together on screen (even thoughAshley Tisdale started to get on my nerves). The acting was average, but I remained awake through the entire movie :) .

It definitely was not an Oscar-winning film, but it was enjoyable. Fora matinée, it was a great way to spend the afternoon. It is directedmore towards the younger crowd. In the film, they talked about modernday technology a lot (like the Wii, BlueTooth, and such). But I thinkadults, with open minds, will find the movie to be clean fun. The onlyquestionable moment that I can recall is that Tom says, "Get off myplanet, you, (nasty name) but he is cut off before he can finish.Younger kids probably wouldn't catch it because it is in the heat of aclimactic scene. Other then that it was a clean, fun movie. Also, the"no gravity" parts and the part where Sparks makes the girl's hairstand up were pretty interesting to watch.

Overall, Aliens in the Attic was a clean, tween film. It was definitelynot a summer blockbuster, but it was very enjoyable for a day out.

My 9 & 10 year old and I went to the theater today and watched thismovie. It was very funny and we recognized characters from various TVshows. We were not the only ones who thought this movie was funny, because everyone watching was laughing. I liked the fact that thismovie contained nothing scary or obscene. I don't know why some peoplerated this movie so low considering how great it was. If you liked E.T.or Mac and Me, then you will like this movie. I thought the characterswere varied enough. You had 3 small child actors and then you had 3teen age children. It was also very nice for the parents not to lookcompletely stupid like some kid movies try to portray adults.

This movie disappointed me so much. I was looking forward to a greatfamily comedy. I must admit it was funny in some parts, but for themost part it was dumb. I took my 3 kids with me and even my 6 year oldwanted to leave the theater. I assumed that it would be a nice andclean movie when I saw that Ashley Tisdale was in it. I was wrong.Several times throughout the movie they characters say "What theheck?!?". Now my kids have started saying that around the house. If Ihad known about this then I wouldn't have spent money on it. I intendedto go see a fun and cute movie, but instead I saw a movie with badanimation and acting.

This movie as a big disappointment. There are too many things that itseems to condone that are wrong for children. The relationship betweenone of the older boys and his father is a reversed relationship. Thefather considers his teen son to be adults so the boy has no rules. Then you have the super smart boy that feels so embarrassed about hisintelligence that he flunks all of his classes on purpose. Therelationship between the oldest girl and her boyfriend set the worstexample of all. Not only does it teach you that it's OK to date someoneolder than you and lie about it(something the guy could go to jailfor), but it also showed that if you are manipulative enough, you canscam the4 parents and pull off things such as getting an invite to staythe night. I would not even encourage children to watch this on TV. Ihate the fact this movie felt like it needed to have males take hits totheir crotches to appeal to older audience members. It was nothumorous. It also enforces that is you do nothing but play video games, you'll have useful life skills. Two thumbs way down.

I couldn't believe the mean comments by some of the other people postedhere. Every once in a while its good to see a film that makes you feellike a kid again. I think thats called appealing to your inner child.Yes this movie doesn't have a believable story or great specialeffects, but come on folks. I saw this film today and the kids in thetheater were laughing and having a ball. It appeals to them because inthe movie that kids are the heroes SPOILER ALERT who stop the aliens, outsmart the adults and save the world. I thought it was so cute in thefilm how that little girl bonded with one of the aliens. It was sadwhen they said goodbye, a real tearjerker. I also enjoyed the slapstickin the film especially with the arrogant jock, it was nice seeing himhumbled like that. Kevin Nealon, who used to be on Saturday Night Live, has a good part in this as a well meaning but dorky father. I alsowanted to mention the noted character actress Doris Roberts who playsthe grandmother, she was on my parent's favorite show Everybody LovesRaymond. There is a scene in this film where the aliens possess her andshe turns into a superhero and kicks butt. It is the single funniestscene I have witnessed in a film this entire year. I thought I wouldfall out of my seat! I'll bet Ms. Roberts had a ball making this film.I'm glad I went to see this film and highly recommend it. It wont winany Golden Globes or Oscars and the American Film Institute will neverconsider it a classic but it will make you laugh and feel good afterthe credits roll, isn't that why we go to the movies?
