prolly cuz ur english. i couldn't understand ur rant until i got to the last paragraph. the script is actually quite clever. the animation leaves to be desired but u could say the rough edges was well researched as it gives the movie a more adult edge. yeah, it's a good kid movie but...
anyhow, i seriously doubt the dude was trying to insult english folks. most people aren't aware of the insults u perceived, which doesn't mean it didn't happen. just sayin'

There has been a lot of love that has been put into Wes Anderson's"Fantastic Mr Fox", unfortunately all the love is for himself. Granted, there has been a lot of time and effort been put into making this everso self-consciously quirky universe but if only the same time andeffort had been put into the script to try and make it funny. Theworrying thing is that I think it was, and this is the best that WesAnderson could come up with.

The animation is good in the close-up shots of the animals, howeverwhen the camera is further away everything becomes really harsh on theeyes and to be perfectly honest looks like a bit of a mess. Therewasn't really anything special about the acting either, with Wes optingto choose his buddies and big names over more specialised voice actorsthat could have probably made the film better. I'm pretty sure GeorgeClooney's voice acting resume consists of two cameo appearances inSouth Park, one of them where he played a dog.

The film is too smug and trying way too hard to be clever and differentand is typically, despite the film being set in England, all the goodanimals are typical Americans playing baseball, whilst the bad guys arestereotypical English with the most insulting English accents. I cannotstress how much of a waste of time this film is. I didn't laugh once.
