G-Force is a movie about an elite squad of CGI guinea pigs (plus acomputer nerd mole) who are pitched against tycoon Bill Nighy'snefarious kitchen appliances taking over the world,, and it comes inflat and 3D versions.
Sounds pretty naff, doesn't it? But actually, it isn't bad. First ofall, it's essentially a kids' film, and there's a lot in it to amusekids. Adults too, there are some decent chuckles to be had. There's alot of action, most of it eye-catching, particularly in 3D (and it'snice to see a film with a fair amount of real-world 3D, not just CGI).
Having said that, the CGI critters are the main characters of the movie- the real-life characters are not high profile at all, whereas thevoice talent for the hamsters includes Sam Rockwell, Penelope Cruz,Steve Buscemi and Nicolas Cage (doing an unrecognisable voice).
G-Force is by no means brilliant, but it passes the time amiably enoughand the 3D is eye-catching.

I thought this film was great,i don't understand why it didn't get ahigher score.
The storyline was fast paced, the animation and effects superb and theguinea pigs were generally funny.
I thought the cast really made the characters come alive,
I would definitely recommend this for families and children,
the people giving it a bad review are not those whom it was made for.It is simply just a fun action film for kids, its's not trying to be atarentino masterpiece, Disney did a great job on making another greatflick for the family! The play-station game is great too!!

Genetically altered guinea pigs working for the US government take onBill Nighy.
Essentially a computer animated film this is a cute little film idealfor kids. Not as good as I had hoped but better than the reviews thisis a pretty much by the numbers tale of the little critters comingthrough even when their group is closed down and they are sent to thepet store. I liked it but I didn't love it. Actually I wish I had seenthis is 3D since its clear that much of the film was put together withthe illusion of depth in mind. If you do see it see it in 3D sine Ithink it will make a difference. (and parts may evolve into a twistedguilty pleasure)

A good kids movie should have the ability to not only capture thechild's interest, but also the parents'. Look at movies like theIncredibles, Madagascar, Shrek, and Up. They all have comedy that suitsboth children and adults. They are fun to watch for people of ANY age.
The argument that "this is just a kids movie" is not valid. Childrendeserve smarter movies than this. This movie is just a collection ofhorrible one-liners and the top 40 pop music chart songs that make upits soundtrack. There is nothing in this movie that has any sort ofvalue, watch it if you like animals I guess. Or maybe not, cause afterthis movie I don't think I like Guinea pigs very much.
