[...] Baumbach’s latest film offering is Greenberg, a derisive account of selfish, broken, but intelligent folks who instinctively hurt the people [...]

A very interesting movie. No wonder it has good votes.I like it because I can laugh many times and sometimes feel with the characters in the film.
What I like most about this movie is that its so realistic, far from exaggeration.
My rate is 5 ***** Five Stars.

A distressed man, recovering from a recent stay in a psychiatricinstitution, develops an unusual relationship with his brother's familyassistant while house-sitting for them. Regrettably, describing more ofthe plot will give away pretty much all of this attempted characterstudy, in which little more occurs. The potential that is present inthe characters is never reached by director Noah Baumbach, who alsowrote the screenplay and co-wrote the story with Jennifer Jason Leigh.Their writing claims much of the blame, lacking any compelling dialogand flow to hold an audiences interest. His direction is almost asdreary, lacking the necessary creativity to take his story to a higherplateau. As we watch the characters live through their rather mundaneemotional growth, all hopes lie in there being some significantrevelation for our central couple. These hopes, however, go unanswered.Ben Stiller delivers a subdued version of his standard pent-up,waiting-to-explode-with-anger persona, while Greta Gerwig highlightsthe film with her portrayal of an unassertive, disoriented young woman.Perhaps a soundtrack or musical score was used, but it had little to noimpact upon the film, if it ever presented itself. While the charactersdo present some interesting dilemmas, there is no reason to see thisfilm unless insomnia is your sickness and you've exhausted all effortsin finding a cure.

This film has more warmth as well as more nastiness than themeandering, tiresome ‘Margot at the Wedding,’ and at least tries to gointo more depth on one character than the charming but slightcoming-of-age prelude ‘The Squid and the Whale.’ There are strongcontributions from Jennifer Jason Leigh (collaborator on the story), asa former girlfriend who firmly rejects Roger’s suggestion that theymight start things up again; and from Rhys Ifans as Ivan, Roger’s(former) best friend and former musical associate –the sometimesrakish Ifans is very solid here as a man who’s grown up.

Greenberg is a fabulous movie that has entertains the whole way,Fantastic. Hollywood veteran director Noah Baumbach does an amazing joband I cant wait for his next release. The story is copied of three menand a baby, but is funnier and has liberal attitudes added in. Stilleris a true talent and finally he gets his credit, a true comedian. MinaBadie gives a decent performance and does a good job. Susan Traylordelivers a good performance and suits as the sidekick. Its amazing thatthe movie has so much comedy and yet it has emotional scenes too. Thefirst scene in this film has many sexy actresses in it, my favorite hasto be Greta Gerwig. Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jessica Mills, Brie Larsonare all very sexy and I wish I was dancing with them.
Surprise film at the Lahore Film Festival, and a sweet feel-good storydespite some mediocre acting and plot holes….
