I Think I Love My Wife (2007)
In marriage no one can hear you scream.

Brenda wears comfortable, cotton panties; Nikki wears shear, lacy thongs. Richard Cooper is in the middle, with a good job in Manhattan, a house in the suburbs, and two cute children with Brenda, his intelligent, good-looking wife, who's a teacher. But there's no sex in this seven-year marriage, so Richard's bored. Into the mix walks Nikki, a sexy, sassy, single friend he's not seen in years. Nikki has problems and finds a reason to stop at his office every day. He tries to help, they have some fun, and he doesn't mention Nikki to Brenda. His work and reputation suffer. Is he about to scratch the seven year itch? What choices does Richard have?

It may not be the funniest movie ever but it scores well on a greatnumber of other points. You can count the good romantic comedies on onehand, and I'm glad to say this is one of the better ones. It's notbrilliant, but it's certainly enjoyable. The phrase 'pretty good' goesthrough my mind every time I watch a Chris Rock movie and so it was inthis case too. A bit cliché at times, but never over-the-edge. Buscemihas a great character, the completely amoral SOB who's still a good guydeep inside. He pulls it off, though I don't know if he should do thiskind of movies too often. He works better in black comedies IMO. ChrisRock is not the greatest actor of all time, in fact he seems to playpretty much the same character every time. The humor is (almost) nevertoo low-brow, and for that the movie deserves praise. Not the best ofmovies, but one of the better of the genre, I Think I Love My Wifedeserves a watch.

I think this is a great movie. Maybe even enlightening for some marriedcouples or couples who are close to marriage. I thought it was verygood. Funny and to tell you the truth the ending was a little surpriseto me I know I wouldn't have been like Chris Rocks character.

Don't miss this one its entertaining maybe put it on the middle of yourlist of movies to watch when u got nothing else to do. Who knows itmight even help a marriage or couple that is experiencing issues or atleast enlighten someone to the root of the problem. I know I know Iused Chris Rock and Enlightening together and that is almost illegalbut I sincerely believe it is pretty good.

By far Rocks best film, he plays a married man who's becomeincreasingly bored with married life and struggles not to cheat on hiswife with an extremely beautiful old friend.

This film wasn't boring, it had its comedic moments and what manwouldn't want to watch Kerry Washington, who played Nikki, for at leastan hour.

I am definitely not a fan of Chris Rock movies, but this one was amature display and co inked by long time friend and Lucky Louie starLouis C.K.

Along with Steve Buschemi to throw in some lines, the movie can betolerated, is entertaining and not as bad as you would think..

If you don't have anything to do, and have an hour or so to burn, thenI think you should give it a chance.

It's not comedic genius, its just a movie, not every single film shouldbe a runner up for an academy, this one qualifies as an entertainingride into Chris Rocks mind…

Richard Cooper (played by Chris Rock, who also co-wrote and directedthe film) has everything a young, upwardly mobile investment bankercould possibly want out of life: a good job, a beautiful wife, twoadorable kids and a comfortable home in the suburbs. The only problemis that, after seven years of marriage, Richard and his wife don't havesex much anymore. This, along with a general sense of boredom andennui, leads the formerly high-living playboy to consider straying withanother woman, a fantasy that comes much closer to reality when aformer flame of his, Nikki Tru (Kerry Washington), sashays back intohis life after a long absence. Suddenly, Richard has to decide whetherto remain faithful to his wife or take the plunge into full-fledgedadultery with all its attendant pitfalls and problems.

"I Think I Love My Wife" is an Americanization of Eric Rohmer's artyand high-minded "Chloe in the Afternoon" (one of his "Six Moral Tales")from the early 1970's. As a study of adultery (or at least potentialadultery), "I Think I Love My Wife" is actually a pretty dull affair, weighed down by leaden direction, foul-mouthed dialogue and a stiffperformance by Rock in the main role. The film does provide a few validinsights into the seven-year-itch phenomenon and other marital issues, but the movie's lackluster pace and tone keep us from caring.

This movie is totally sticking out of the genre. Probably the bestappearance of Chris Rock I've seen so far. The story is well written, smart jokes are mastered into details, and the plot is developing fastenough to keep you entertained. Scenes and cast are very well chosen,it's a film of high quality standard. I honestly didn't expect thatmuch of wise entertainment as it offers. And most of all, it feelsgenuine, not a kind of movie you've seen before and can totallypredict. I think I love my wife is an outstanding title which I wouldrecommend to any mature couples or singles. This film wouldn't bore ordisappointed you.
