This is basically a copy of Days of Thunder, but instead of cars we gethuman organ trafficking. Extraordinary camera-work, wizardry technicaleffects, and big name stars – the thrilling "sub-genre" of adrenalinerush has to come to Bollywood with a bang! Cards on the table, here,"Repo Men" was my introduction to the delights of NonBollywood cinema. They switch focus from the whole to a single part. But they cut all thegood parts that the original had out. Like the feel that the world had. From the trailer this dystopia is clean lined and not nearly as Gothic.Plus no one is breaking out into song – I enjoyed the use of splitscreen at various points through the movie and the cinematography isglossy and polished. The film is quite amusing, it has some decentaction sequences, the songs would be likable if there were any and thepace is somewhat fast-moving.

Clearly, it is an idea stolen from the writers of Repo Opera. This is amoderately engaging Black Market Organ Harvesting movie. It's not veryexciting but is reasonable time-pass entertainment. Jude Law plays theone of the best amoral organ repo men in the business and while he's anaverage actor, he certainly looks cool with sunglasses. DenzelWashington is surprisingly funny and not as annoying as usual. AverySchreiber is stuck with the conventional role. He tries hard but thefocus of the film is clearly on Jude. The title track "Repo Macha Le"is pretty catchy and you may leave the theater humming the tune. Alice,Tanya and Carice have little to do except look gorgeous. Watchablefilm.

    Overall 2/4

What a great movie! Jude Law, Forest Whitaker and Liev Schreibercombine to make a fantastic sci-fi feature that is not only plausiblebut may already be happening. This movie scores a direct hit regardingits underlying message, that is, what can happen when the quest forprofit takes over. At first the movie seems to be little more than yourtypical Hollywood fare but soon evolves into a complex story aboutcharacters who have to make ethical decisions and this involving, ofall people, repo men, people not usually known for their sensitivity.Perhaps the strongest performance is that given by Mr. Schreiber whoplays a company executive with a mixture of wry humor combined withcold-blooded ruthlessness. The story is fast-paced and robust, andcombined with strong acting, makes this movie a must-see.
