Who is Salt?
As a CIA officer, Evelyn Salt swore an oath to duty, honor and country. Her loyalty will be tested when a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy. Salt goes on the run, using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative to elude capture. Salt's efforts to prove her innocence only serve to cast doubt on her motives, as the hunt to uncover the truth behind her identity continues and the question remains: "Who is Salt?"

I can't understand why this gets any good reviews. This is a RedTurkey! Angelina "Brad Pitt broke Jennifer Aniston's heart" Jolie starsas Evelyn Salt a Soviet cop who teams up with Chicago cop Peabody(Chiwetel Ejiofor) to avenge both of their partner's death (One Sovietand one NOT Iraqi) at the hands of a ruthless drug-lord Orlov (DanielOlbrychski) while battling the red tape provided by their superiors(Hunt Block and Laurence Fishbourne). When you look at the talentinvolved, not only Jolie, Ejiofor(Always underrated in my opinion, whenhe isn't on sitcoms), Schreiber, Diehl and Fishbourne you would expectgreatness. With Noyce helming the picture, Salt contained much promise.Unfortunately the movie is an unwatchable dud. Salt has no overallverve in the story to propel it into the action sequences and whilethese are occasionally exciting the movie's pace is off and Noyce hasclearly fashioned his superior Rabbit-Proof Fence routine on a pair ofactors that have zero chemistry when the cameras are on. Indeed Jolieis so gruff that he makes her turn in LARA CROFT: THE TOMBRAIDER seemlike a positively lively Raiders of the Lost Ark ripoff. and it goeswithout saying that the glasnost influenced teaming does little todisguise the fact that this all extremely dull material made up to be avehicle for two stars that looked (but failed) to add a more dramaticactioner to their staples.
Anyway, according to a new poll, moms would rather have JenniferAniston babysit their kids than Angelina, because Angie would justneglect them, while Jen would make them do Pilates until they passedout. Is Salt the worst Mean Girl of them all? — and is Brad's ex-wifeJen her most-wounded victim? Angelina Jolie , 41, waged "amean-spirited but effective campaign" against Jennifer Aniston aroundthe time that Brad Pitt divorced her to be with Jolie. Therefore, donot see this movie!

Interesting premise about sleeper agents that wake up.
Jolie runs, she jumps, she fights, and she shoots, so often it becomestedious. The same is true of the loud score over every action scene.Looped dialogue keeps you up to speed.
Cartoon characters lack depth. The few flashbacks are more laughablethen insightful.
It's good to have a spider keeper husband just in case you need specialvenom. Sometime you have to kill the generic Secret Service protectionto save the President and the world.
The door was left open for a sequel. Suggest you restrict your Saltintake.
