Skinwalkers is the story of a group of werewolves hunting a child whothey must kill before he turns 13 because according to legend he willend the werewolf curse if he hits his birthday. Rhona Mitra is hismother, who only learns about this when the werewolves descend on theirlittle town.

There is absolutely nothing original in this story, but both the maleand female actors are gorgeous and the fight scenes are good, especially an early gunbattle involving a tough revolver wieldinggrandmother. The production, however is lacking and looks more like anepisode of the week than a big screen flick. The music is even worse.

Even with the tiniest amount of scrutiny, the plot has big holes and atone point you will be yelling at your screen about how a group ofpeople can be so dumb. But in the end its mildly satisfying….and didI mention everyone looks amazing.

I wish there was something positive about this film and I found it:Salma Hayek. But does really make a movie better? Not in this case. Theonly thing she does is make werewolf love. But I have seen betterwerewolf loving on the set of Jerry Springer.

The plot line is simple enough. A 'half-breed' boy of both werewolf andhuman lines is turning 13. When he does, somehow he will have the curefor werewolves. So some men and Salma Hayek go out to stop it fromhappening.

The movie does have somewhat of a happy ending. Well, about as happy ofan ending as X-Men 3. Most of the main characters die in the film, butit leaves it open for a sequel. But there is no room for a sequel here. Not with all the plot holes, bad lines, and crappy action sequences. Ijust can't understand how anybody would want to pursue that.

Overall, this turned out kind of asinine. Way too many plot holes andbad acting suffering from a really bad script. Some partial nudity fromthe all but absent minded Salma didn't do much to make it better. "D"

Why does this movie have such a low rating like it does?Of course thismovie certainly wasn't great, but it definitely wasn't bad either.Itwas actually really entertaining to watch, and I enjoyed almost everysecond while watching this movie. The script is quite a bit different, and although different doesn't always make good, it worked in thisfilm. The acting was better than I was suspecting, seeing as how this isa Lionsgate film, and most of the time I was watching it, I wasthinking,"Wow, they're pulling this film off quite nicely."I don'trecommend this, because there are plenty of other better Werewolffilms, but it was a nice add to the genre, and I'm glad it was made.

I so wanted this film to be great. Not just because I have the postersigned by Stan Winston on my wall, but because I love a great werewolfmovie.

It is so wrong to make a PG-13 werewolf movie. We are cheated out ofwhat makes the genre great. The effort to appeal to a broader audiencetook away from the picture.

The story was great, and there were some great actors in the film.

I love Rhona Mitra (The Number 23) so much that I watch Ali GIndahouse, just to see her. I can't wait to see her as a Vampire nextyear. She was great as the kid's mom.

Natassia Malthe was really wasted in the film. She could have made itso much better.

Jason Behr was really good, as was Elias Koteas and Sarah Carter.

I would like to see a Director's cut of this film. It would have to bebetter.

For twelve years and four days, a battle has been waging on in thewerewolf (a.k.a. Skinwalkers) community. A boy has been born who, whenhe turns 13, can cure all werewolves. Some werewolves want the cure, while others don't.

This movie was terrible. I actually wanted the bad guys to win becausethe good guys were so idiotic. -there's four bad guys who enter a towninfested with 'good werewolves,' yet after the shooting, blowing thingsup and more shooting ends, there's still four bad guys and only eightgood guys. -the kid faints, so they take him to a regular hospitalwhere they don't spare the details in telling them that the kid is awerewolf -a good werewolf gets kidnapped and turned into a badwerewolf, then her boyfriend won't kill her even though she's about tokill him, and he turns into a whiny little wuss who gets what hedeserves -instead of running and hiding, there's needless conversationsabout 'what the heck is going on here?' that they could be talkingabout WHILE being on the run, not standing in the wide open demandingan explanation -when the mother and child want to leave, let them. Thatway they'll die, and you'll live, unlike what actually happens in thefilm

If you can't tell, I was very annoyed with this film. It's pure filth, plain and simple.

Reading the plot for this movie got me really excited, and the previewhelped confirm that. I was HEVILY disappointed in this film! While theidea was good, this movie just dragged on and on and on. I laughedafter I looked at the short running time once the movie was over.Watching this was almost like watching a 90s jean claud van dam movieor something. Cheesy dialog as well as action. Thats right the fightscenes weren't even good! What I did like a lot about this movie ws thecinematography, it was excellent. The Idea in intself still is prettycool, it just wasn't done very well. This movie was almost like 90sjean claud van dam movie meets john carpenters vampires. In fact if youhaven't seen Joh Carpenters Vampires go watch that instead haha.

…and turgid film-making at its least, "Skinwalkers" adds nothing tothe canon beyond, perhaps, the concept of a pack of werewolves owning amobile, armored self-restraint chamber. As is almost always the case, the fault rests primarily with the script, credited to threepeople–both at the beginning and end of the film!–a sure sign ofmeddling by the suits putting up the money. Somehow, though, I doubtthe original screenplay was much better. This one involves two warringpacks of shapeshifters who are focused on the impending thirteenthbirthday of one of their own and what may or may not occur (beyond ananomalous and illogical "red moon") when he attains that benighted age. It's not the concept so much that rankles, though, it's the execution.

In a word: pedestrian. In two words: utterly forgettable. DirectorJames "Jason X" Isaac should stick with effects work; either hisdirectorial abilities are limited to fx/stunt sequences or he hasn'tthe artistic chops to surmount a script-by-committee. His ability toelicit quality acting performances is definitely suspect, since none ofhis cast acquits itself with anything approaching distinction.

I know nothing of the genesis of this project, nor do I care to. Theresultant mess doesn't merit the effort. "Skinwalkers" is make-work ofthe most disappointing order. The viewer can only take comfort inknowing that it did so poorly at the box office that the sequel it soblatantly sets itself up for will likely never see the light of thenext full moon. We at least have that to be grateful for.

Yeah, I'll say it again: this movie was boring. Almost no werewolfaction until the very end, incredibly tame, practically no gore. I meancome on, these are werewolves, for Christ's sake. They're supposed torun around eating people. All these did was either ride Harleys, tryingto look cool or run away from the ones on the Harleys in a beat up oldtruck. Too pretty and glossy, you couldn't rightfully call it a horrormovie. Big thumbs down. OK, I need more lines in order to post, sohowbout "Uuuuuuuhhhhhhhh, crappy flick?" Is that enough lines to post? No, I guess not. OK, here's "Really boring and crappy flick". Now, isthat enough?
