This modern retelling of the classic fairytale follows a beautiful college freshman as she pledges her late mother's once dignified sorority. This movie is yet one of the best remake of any fairy tale that i haveseen yet. I have seen it like 20x on my bell express Vu!.
I believe that we can all say in any movie Amanda Bynes plays in, comesout great! "What a girl wants", "She's the man", and even "SydneyWhite".
I never quite understood the movie the first time i watched it. Therewere a few scenes that kind of made it a little confusing. Like I didnot (still don't) understand the first scene, how Sydney is working onan car, when her dad is a plumber.
OR Where Tyler goes into the library and asks Sydney on a date. Thatone song he sang I didn't quite understand. But now I do, 'cause it isthe first song that they dance to. But I still don't get how that goeswith the plot.
Any way. The other things I thought should have been fixed was thecasting. I just did not think that Sara Paxton seemed "evil" enough toplay Rachel Witchburn. Or Cyrstal Hunt just did not seem southernenough to play Dinky Hotchkiss, to me.
But the two scenes that I thought were -are- the best was; the kissingscene, and when Rachel gets De-kappa-liaised. Those were hilarious!
In conclusion, I give this movie 8 out of 10 stars, because it had acouple "mis-haps".
This movie was just 100% awful! Amanda Bynes, once again trys to playan "upbeat" "quirky" character, but just turns out to be plainannoying.
The whole 'teen fairy tale' thing is just so overused anymore, youcan't expect anything original out of it.
The movie is supposed to be 'based' on Snow white, but the whole SnowWhite thing is just thrown in your face, and really could have donewithout.
What more can I say? Plain annoying characters (With the exception ofSara Paxton) and a script full of Clichés.
