I don't want to spoil too much about this movie except that it wasn'thow I expect it to be. You may think this is the run-of-the-millMichael Cera's teenage(awkward) movies that we love at first but grewtire of.

Yes, this movie starts off that way but then the stories touchesdifferent heights almost as brilliant as Fight Club but yet it isoriginal in its own way.

Michael Cera performs his most memorable role(up to date) in this moviewith a steady supporting cast behind him In terms of production, it istop notch yet subtle enough as not to distract the original/wittystoryline.

    9/10

Despite having many of the main comedic scenes ruined in the theatricaltrailer, Youth in Revolt still managed to offer an abundance ofhysterical scenes. Michael Cera, was Michael Cera, and whether you aretired of it or not, it's entertaining and he's good at it. In the moviewe are also introduced to another stunningly beautiful up-and-comer inHollywood, Portia Doubleday, who does a more than effective job atplaying the confident and intriguing character she was given. I'm surethis will not be the last we see of her both in the comedy genre, aswell as many others if she chooses to pursue them. If you are notrepulsed by crude sexual humor I would definitely more than recommendthis movie. And if you are I would still recommend it, hoping that youcould see past it and enjoy the quirky commentary and style it takes atcertain points.
